If you want high school advice, who better to ask than seniors? Beng a graduating senior means taking a big step into the future, whether that’s college, work, or something else. After going to school with the same people for the last 13 years, everyone is going their separate ways. This bittersweet time creates feelings of excitement, anxiety, and nostalgia. The seniors have overcome challenges and tough choices that taught them lessons about life. We’ve asked some of them to look back on their high school experience to deliver words of advice to the underclassmen.
Alina Tulino shared, “My advice is to be friends with everybody, to have fun, and to live your life.”
“Make the most of every moment because high school goes by so fast,” said Marley Smith.
Olivia Wolke said, “Don’t stress out about the little things, it will all work out in the end.”
Sophia Gutierrez-Campodonico said, “Embrace it and just be yourself.”
Finally, Addy Hiller said, “Get involved with as many clubs and activities as you can.”
High school seniors have learned a lot from juggling extracurriculars, managing time, and trying to have fun. Each piece of advice given shares a common theme. You should allow yourself to enjoy high school because everything changes so fast. The advice they give is simple but very useful, which is sometimes the most meaningful and important. So, as the year comes to an end and seniors enjoy their last few days of high school, we remind you to give time to yourself and enjoy the little bit of school you all have left.
