Wayne has recently welcomed two brand new and exciting food destinations: Vitality Bowls and The Wicked Waffle Stick. After visiting both since their grand openings, I can easily see why they have become popular.
Vitality Bowls, located on 1591 Alps Rd, has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. Since opening, I have visited at least seven times because it’s so convenient. The food is fresh, organic, and full of flavor, while the staff is always extremely friendly and welcoming. My favorite order is the Power Panini, which comes with chicken, mozzarella, tomatoes, super greens, and Dijon mustard. If you’re a fan of caprese, you’ll definitely love this sandwich; however, if you’re not the biggest fan of mustard, I wouldn’t put it on the sandwich, as it can sometimes be too overpowering. I also enjoy the classic Vitality Bowl with almond butter and chocolate chips, instead of honey, since they don’t offer Nutella. As a two-sport varsity athlete, I like stopping by before sports because the food gives me energy and keeps me fueled throughout the day.
My good friend, Taylor Alaya, a freshman, also loves Vitality Bowl. “It gives me so much energy; however, I feel that it’s a little expensive sometimes,” she states, which is reasonable. I feel that it is worth the price; however, that doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s expensive, it is, which might turn away some customers. However, Taylor, overall, really likes vitality bowls for the most part.

If you’re looking for something sweet, The Wicked Waffle Stick, located on 1055 Hamburg Tpke, is a great choice and my new go-to. Originally a waffle truck, it recently opened a location in Wayne. The menu includes waffle sticks, crepes, pancakes, ice cream, and lemonade with countless topping options. My go-to order is the waffle sticks with Cookie Monster or Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, topped with Oreos, brownies, Nutella, powdered sugar, and sprinkles. The food is delicious, and the workers are always kind and energetic.
Overall, both restaurants are excellent additions to Wayne. Whether you’re looking for a healthy meal or a fun dessert, these new spots are definitely worth checking out.
