The Wayne Hills theatre program will be putting on their fall play titled, “Blithe Spirit” during the first week of December. There are three show dates on December 4th, 5th and 6th at 7pm.
The play follows Charles Condomine as he conducts a seance to resurrect his late first wife while married to his second. Then, a love triangle between Charles, his late wife, Elvira, and his new wife, Ruth, emerges, creating a comedic atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
A lot of work goes into this fall play. Auditions were hosted back in September, and they have been building the set and props with lots of care and attention to detail. If you go into the auditorium, you will be able to see the set on the stage.
There are 7 Wayne Hills students in the cast, all of whom are very excited for this year’s Fall production. They put in a lot of work as actors, especially with a small group.
Sophomore Isabella D’Aleo talked about her experience in the play: “I’m working spotlight for the play, which is definitely very fun but also a lot of work. Spotlights make a major difference in how a show appears to an audience, and I’m super excited to see all the work we’ve put in. It’s a very good show!”
An audience member, Sophomore Irem Hadzi, shared, “I really like watching the plays because everyone is so talented and you can tell they put their heart and soul into it and is very proud of their work.
If you’re looking for something fun to do this week, check out the play on one of its days and support the Wayne Hills theater! It’ll be super fun!
