As the 2025-2026 school year comes to an end, the fall sports and extracurriculars begin to circle back again. This is the case for the Wayne Hills Marching Band who now begins to learn and rehearse their show The Witching Hour.
“It’s about how every single night around 3AM, the veil is the thinnest between our normal world and the paranormal realm,” says Wayne Hills Band Director Ms. Pascale, “We are using a lot of well known music to create an atmosphere which is appropriate stylistically for the witching hour.”
The band will be led by this year’s drum majors: Senior Cameron Perez-Alcalde and Junior Molly Klaetsch. Both leaders are dedicated members of the program and incredibly excited for this upcoming season!
When asked about ideas for the season, Cameron says, “I want to close the skill gap between the least and most experienced members and unite the band together more.” He wants to help his fellow band members become the best person they can be for the season.
“I’m most looking forward to working with my new coworker Cameron and organizing stuff over the summer, especially for band camp!” Molly expressed. Together, they aim to be the best possible team they can be for the season.
Alongside drum majors Molly and Cameron, new band council members have been elected:
- President: Julia Hrytsko (Sr.)
- Vice President: Preston Wang (Jr.)
- Secretary: Nadiya Kovtun (Jr.)
- Color Guard Captain: Olivia Marnick (Jr.)
- Color Guard Lieutenant: Kayla Villfana (Jr.)
- Drum Captain: Mason Irwin (Sr.)
- Pit Captain: Jason Schulman (Jr.)
With such strong leadership and a wonderful program, there is no doubt that the Wayne Hills Marching Band will excel this season and try their hardest to bring home the gold! Good luck to the Band and have a great competition season!
