
Every spring Starbucks comes out with their beloved spring menu. This year there are two new items on the menu, the Iced Cherry Chai and the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket. The Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Match, Lavender Crème Frappuccino, and the Iced Lavender Oat Milk Latte from last year’s menu returned to this year’s menu. The Iced Cherry Chai and the lavender beverages (Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, Iced Lavender Latte, Lavender Crème Frappuccino) are favorites.
For the Cherry Chai many appreciate the blend of creamy texture, warm spices, and cherry notes, with the cherry cream cold foam being a popular addition. For the Lavender beverages customers find the subtle floral notes of lavender to be refreshing and a nice transition into spring. For the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket some enjoy the spiciness, others find it to be overwhelming.
I asked some students what they think about the menu.
Freshman Melania DeMayo said, “I tried the Cherry Chai and I didn’t enjoy it. I didn’t like the flavor of the cherry but the chai wasn’t that bad. I think the new menu looks really good this year.”
Freshman Lakshmi Bhimavarapu said, “They all look really good. I would try the Cherry Chai and the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket. I think this year’s menu looks amazing.”
Freshman Deniz Durgut said, “I would like to try the Iced lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, It looks really good.”
Freshman Elsa Veseli said, I don’t think I would like any of them but maybe I would try the Ice Lavender Oatmilk Latte.”
There are a lot of mixed reviews with this year’s spring menu. Do you think one of the items will get discontinued because of the reviews and what do you think about the 2025 Starbucks spring menu?
