Saturday Night Live has been a long tradition of comedians, actors, and unexpected celebrities who test their fast past comedian performance in front of a live audience. On last week’s SNL, Connor Storrie was chosen to host the show. It was an exciting moment, for both Heated Rivalry fans and the cast of SNL. Fan favorite acts were special moments like the monologue, his comedy, his several sketches, and especially Hudson Williams’ cameo.
Connor Storrie is an American actor who gained internet fame for his role as a Russian hockey star, Ilya Rozanov, in the HBO TV series Heated Rivalry. Him hosting Saturday Night Live is significant, as it solidified his status and highlighted the rapid success of both SNL and Heated Rivalry.
Connor Storrie’s monologue was a great way to start his SNL performance. Heated Rivalry was Connor Storrie’s debut, which was a very big moment in his life. He admitted to crying when he booked the show, and joked about how he wasn’t sure if he was going to pull off the hockey portion of Heated Rivalry. He brought out Jack and Quinn Hughes from the U.S. men’s hockey team, and also Megan Keller and Hilary Knight from the U.S. women’s hockey team. They all wore their gold medals talking about their wins from the Olympics.

“The last time the men did that was 46 years ago,” Quinn Hughes stated, talking about winning gold. “And the last time we did that was two whole Olympics ago,” Hilary Knight stated.
“My favorite part of the monologue was when the women’s hockey team made a joke about how it was just supposed to be just them watching Heated Rivalry, but they decided to invite the boys,” Lauryn Burke, a freshman at Wayne Hills said.
Another special moment on SNL was Hudson William’s appearance in multiple scenes. Lauryn Burke says, “Another skit where Connor Storrie was ice skating and this couple was going through an argument. Connor Storrie and some other cast members from SNL were skating and playing around and then Hudson Williams came on. They all skated together, and it was a beautiful moment.”
All these acts on SNL really complete the whole story of Connor Storrie and his passion for acting. It showed his friendship with Hudson Williams, and his dedication for his career.
