After the successful field trip for DECA students to Atlantic City, the trip must’ve felt like a fever dream. According to their website, DECA prepares future business leaders into taking that big step into their career in marketing and finance.

“Yes, the $300 fee was so worth it,” said freshman Anshika Gade. “It was so much fun. We competed against other groups in northern New Jersey, and since we stayed there for three days, it felt a lot more professional and thrilling.”

The fee for regionals is $100, while the fee for states is $300. Overall, DECA empowers members through professional experience and competition. The most recent one was for states, and students stayed for three days. They had the chance to put their understanding of finance to the test.

One of the key highlights of the trip was the competitive events. Participants presented their strategies to other people, aiming for recognition from their peers and judges.

Not only does DECA offer valuable insights into marketing, but participants also had the chance to connect with students from different schools. As students returned to school, they carried with them memories of experiences that will undoubtedly shape their future in the world of business and beyond.
