It’s finally 2024, what a year 2023 has been. So much has happened since 2023. 8th graders became freshmen, freshmen became sophomores, sophomores became juniors, juniors became seniors and the seniors that got their high school experiences taken from covid graduated and started college.

Many people going into the new year have a goal they would like to achieve, we have asked Wayne Hills students what their new year’s resolutions would be.

Senior Bella Turelli said, “I want to continue going to the gym consistently but also making sure I am eating healthy. I chose this because I find being healthy is an important part of my lifestyle.” Senior Olivia Gialanella also agrees with Bella. She said, “I want to spend less money eating out and I chose this because I can have more healthier choices at home.”

Junior Riley Sexton told us, “I want to have at least 5 top colleges I can choose from so I can go and visit.”

Sophomore Kaitlyn Nussbaum explains her goals by, “ I want to train better during the off season. I chose this so that I can increase my time during preseason for soccer.”

Many students here at Wayne Hills have similar new year’s resolutions involving school.

According to freshman Remi Shultz, she recalls, “This is my first year here at Wayne Hills and I want to do better in school this year.”

Sophomore, Amanda Carriere has a goal for her school year. “I want to do good in school to make the honor roll.” Junior Zach Ritkes said, “I want to get good grades this year.”

Senior AJ Delfini and Zach Ritkes said “I want to work a lot to make money. I chose this because I want to be successful in the future.”

Going into the new year of 2024 there are so many things to be excited for. Here is what a few Wayne Hills students said.

Junior Bella Donato said “‘I am most excited for junior formal this year.”

Freshman Remi Shultz said “I am excited for SDA.”

Junior Sophia Kalendowicz agreed, saying,“I am looking forward to the final show for SDA and cheer competitions to start.” Sophomore Amanda Carriere also said “I am excited for cheer to start.”

Sophomore Caroline Holton and juniors Zach Ritkes, Claudia Gail, Lana Lacorte, and Riley Sexton all said that they are most excited for summer to come in this new year. Kaitlyn Nussbam said “This year I am looking forward to summer and spending it more with my family.”

Senior Bella Turelli said “I am excited for graduation and Prom. As well as finding out which college I will be going to.” Senior AJ Delfini and Olivia Gialanella also said “I am looking forward to choosing my college.”

What a year 2023 was. Hope 2024 is even better!
