Spring Break is one of the most exciting breaks for students during the school year. It is a time when students get a week long break from school and are able to relax, sleep in, or go away.
Many kids have very different lives so their spring break all looks different. Some popular activities students will do over spring break is tour colleges, go away, attend sporting events, or catch up on sleep.
Upperclassmen students will go and tour colleges over the break to give them a better idea of what school they want to attend for the upcoming year. Students of all grades will go away to tropical places like Mexico or Florida and get their tan on. Students that are in sports may have tournaments to attend to and will be playing over the break.
While all three of these activities may sound exciting, catching up on sleep is the most exciting for students that are overly worked and that are mentally and physically drained from the school year.
Sophomore, Ava Ntansah says, “I’m going to Florida to visit my brother and then once I come back I have track practice.”
Another sophomore, Natalia Rodriguez says, “Over spring break I will be in Boston for a volleyball tournament. The tournament is three days and it is a chance to qualify for NEQ’s.”
Everyone’s spring break looks different but one thing we all have in common is that we are all excited to get a break from school!
