Last year I would’ve thought Tate McRae was a popular singer but this year she is a superstar.
Although she did play her sold out show at Madison Square Garden in NYC, this year she performed there 3 nights and sold out all three nights. She has 83 shows set for 2025 all around the world premiering her new album “So Close to What.” Her “Miss Possessive” tour has sold thousands of tickets and approximately 13,000 in two days.
“I can’t believe how much Tate McRae has grown since I first started listening to her in 7th grade,” said Addison Pistone, 12th grader. In 2021 Tate McRae released one of her most popular songs “Rubberband” which received over a billion streams on Spotify in just one year. This year Tate McRae’s biggest hit “Greedy” hit over 1.9 billion streams and her songs continue to go higher up in the charts.
“Greedy” is now the FIRST song by a female artist born this century to spend over 100 weeks on billboard Global 200. With her Miss Possessive tour still in play, she becomes more and more known for her incredible dancing skills that she puts on for every show and her creative outfits she always nails.
In McRae’s music “I get a deep sense of comfort” said Addison. “Its such a great feeling to find lyrics that you can relate to so much.” Her music has women of all ages in their feels when listening to her lyrics. With similar dance focused performances and flattering while also intimidating singing, people say Tate McRae is the “New Britney Spears” of this generation.
