As senior year comes to a close, we asked the senior class about their favorite year of high school. The majority of the seniors gave us the expected answer, senior year. The activities include Dorney Park, senior skip day, prom, and many more. Senior year flies by because of all the events planned. Even from the start of the year, senior breakfast and senior sunrise kicked off the school year with a fun start. Some seniors have different opinions based on their memories from the previous years. Fo
Senior Ali Salem says, “I enjoy senior year because of how laid back it is. I feel like the teachers see how much we are all ready to graduate, and with all of the events coming up like prom, Dorney Park, senior skip day, and graduation, there is still more to look forward to”. Many students have similar opinions on their senior year and how packed it is with fun events. Other students, such as Senior Zach Ritkes, say, “I enjoyed my senior year because of the light workload. I took more advanced classes throughout high school, and this year felt like a break for me in that sense. I didn’t feel overwhelmed with homework and studying, and got to enjoy my year.” Senior year was enjoyable and relaxing for most students.
Student Harun Gencer tells us, “Freshman year was my favorite because that’s when I met my friend group. I have so many memories from freshman year, and it felt less serious back then; everyone was friends with everyone”. Freshman year was another fun year, where everyone was just meeting their people and getting used to being in high school. Alina Tulino also agrees with this and tells us that “without freshman year, I wouldn’t have met such good friends like the ones I have now. Coming together with 2 other schools was scary, but one of the best things to happen because it forced me to branch out even when I typically stay with what’s comfortable”.
Overall, Senior year and Freshman year were the answers we heard from our senior students. When the school year is filled with fun events and not a lot of actual school work, students seem to enjoy that most.
