Girls between 10-14 experienced the largest percent increase in suicide rates last year.  No Place for Hate is an educational program created by the Anti- Defamation League (ADL), to create a no hate zone empowering students in school systems to combat this startling statistic.

One can imagine a Utopia, a world of perfection where no one has the audacity to hate and everyone is accepted for who they are.

ADL’s plan for the No Place for Hate program is not for a perfect world but for people to get on board and schools to teach the concept to students about the program. ADL builds bridges of understanding of diverse groups in hopes of influencing people from all over more than just school grounds. They set goals for students to take a stand by getting everyone involved. No Place for Hate sends a powerful message that all students belong and bullying and hatred should not be tolerated.

They set goals for students to take a stand by getting everyone involved.  All seniors learned about the program during the first week of school in their english classes.   No Place for Hate sends a powerful message that all students belong and bullying and hatred should not be tolerated.

Donna King, our school’s Student Assistant Coordinator, is working with faculty and students to get them involved in the program.   “I’m hoping for a great outcome not just in our school system but all over the nation,” said King.

In our school, we will get students who normally do not give their perspective to really be involved during the week of respect to contribute while getting activities going to reach our student body.
