Seniors at Wayne Hills are finally at the time of year of College Applications, so many emotions are running high. Here at Wayne Hills, we have interviewed some seniors about the application processes and what their experiences have been like.
The Seniors’ Applications for early admission are due soon, and the students are getting ready. The normal admission letters are being taken from now all the way to April for some schools.
Let’s hear what they have to say about the College Application process.
Evelyn Clewley has started the process of college application and says it’s a lot of work, but worth it all. Evelyn says that the process is very stressful, but she feels like it’s all going to be worth it when she gets the letters from all the different schools she has applied to this year.
Dean Bazoqa has started writing his college essays to find the perfect school. Dean is staying local for school, with places like Montclair State, Rutgers, and many more.
“Try things for yourself, don’t let other opinions get in your way,” says Dean Bazoqa.
What Dean told us about his experience shows a point of view of staying local and not wanting to go far for college, and explains the essay writing he had to complete. We also know that the letter back has not come yet, but the students are hopeful at the moment that they will all get into the school of their dreams.
The College process is something that most seniors are going through right now, and everyone thinks about this topic. Both Evelyn and Dean share information that other students have the same feelings about College. And the advice that Dean wants to share with the students who will be in this position in a few years is that you shouldn’t let any other options get in the way of something that you want to do.
Some students are feeling cool and do not worry about college and just going with the flow, which is a nice thing to do, but on the other hand, other students are cramping to finish their essay and are ready to submit their applications. The interview we have done has provided us with the opinion and point of view of many students of this stressful or non-stressful time period.
Kaitlyn Nussbaum says that the applications have been very stressful for her, and she has also written a supplemental essay, and says it was very much worth it.
“Lots of facts and information about going into the schools,” says Kaitlyn Nussbaum.
Kaitlyn tells us that all of the time and effort that has been put into this process has been 100% worth it in her opinion. Which is what I think many people need to hear at the time of applications.
