Patriot Press Polls

By Rachel Mazer and Carly Polay

The Patriot Press website currently has polls up for anyone to take. Our most recent poll asked who will be the Republican candidate, and more than 275 votes were tallied. Donald Trump won this election with 119 votes. This was almost 50 percent of the poll. Chris Christie came in last in this poll with four votes, which is 10 percent of the votes. Ted Cruz came in second with 22 percent of the votes from students and teachers. Although you might not be voting for a Republican, everyone still has an opinion.

“I would be extremely surprised if Donald Trump won the republican primary election. If he wins the overall 2016 presidential election I would be in shock,” says senior Brian Marcus.

“I personally am not a fan of Trump,” said Class President Christina Vittas.  “Based on his stances on the issues and his personality I know I will not be voting for him and I find it interesting that according to the poll my classmates might disagree with me. In my opinion I think that he is a bully and isn’t fit to be our president at this point in time. I cringe to think what he would be like if he were to negotiate with other world leaders,” says Vittas.

Next week, there will be a poll that everyone is looking forward to. The 50th Super Bowl! Keep a look for your favorite football team. Who will win, The Denver Broncos or The Carolina Panthers?
