WHHS Choir Students Are Accepted Into Regions

By Hannah Lee, Senior Assistant Editor

WHHS music classes always taught and showed others about music. WHHS has music classes to prepare them for things like the North Jersey Regional Choir. This past weekend, many of our choir members had auditioned for the North Jersey Regional Choir and out of those many, only three were accepted. From the Chamber choir, we have Kaitlyn Kerwin and Laura Necsoi. From the Concert choir, we have Sofia Reyes. Contrary to what people think, it is not easy to make it into the North Jersey Regional Choir.

“I’ve had auditioned 6 times and only made it in 4 times. It’s nerve-racking, but the experience is something that you could never get anywhere else.”, revealed Annisa Morales Logue, chamber choir student and sophomore.

Although it is not an easy group to get into, it is definitely an honor to. It really teaches people how it is like to be in a more advanced choir.

“Being in regions is such an honor, being able to learn and grow from such talented musicians from across New Jersey is such an amazing experience and has really shaped me as a vocalist.”, said Chamber Choir President and senior. Congrats and best wishes to those who are accepted.

These girls from now on will be going to rehearsals and preparing for a concert to end the experience. Come support your WHHS Choir by going to the concert on January 30th at 4 P.M. at Sparta High School.
