Frank Petracco Scores in Citrus Sale

During the month of November, it’s not uncommon to see students from the National Honor Society running around, frantically asking other students and teachers if they would be interested in buying citrus or nuts. While most students walked to their car on the day of the pick- up carrying three or four boxes, Stephanie Petracco, Frank Petracco’s mother, had a parade of students carrying several boxes of citrus to her car. NHS members realized as they peered into the backseat of Frank’s Jeep Wrangler that she brought for extra space just how many boxes Frank had managed to sell.
These type of sales are not unusual for Petracco; this year was the second year in a row that he sold the highest amount of citrus in NHS. “I was able to win 2 years in a row because I used the same buyers as last year. But the reason I was able to get so many returning customers is because they actually enjoyed the product, they thought that the fruits and the nuts were excellent,” said Petracco.
The National Honor Society excitedly waits for next year to see who will be the next record citrus seller after Petracco graduates!
