Over his years in office, President Donald Trump has invited many of his guests to his privately owned properties and has paid for their fees with taxpayers’ dollars.

Donald Trump has invited many important figures to his lounges such as Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ex-Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe.

According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump has charged the government:

  • $7,000 from dinner for the Chinese President
  • $6,000 for flowers for the Japanese Prime Minister
  • $17,000 a month for a cottage for Trump resort
  • $1,000 for a drinking session by White House Staff

According to other websites such as Business Insider, Donald Trump took even more money from taxpayers:

  • $13,000 for hotel rooms
  • $16,500 for food and wine
  • In 2017, the Trump Organization charged $650 per night dozens of times in the Mar-a-Lago resort
  • In 2018, they charged $395.15 per night in many occasions in the same resort
  • $30,000 for a hotel party where he hosted around 200 guests
  • Shortly after the election in 2016, they spent more than $270,000 on the Trump International Hotel
  • The Republican National Committee has spent over $2 million in Donald Trump’s hotels and resorts
  • During Donald Trump’s campaign, they have spent over $14 million on Donald Trump’s properties, which was also paid for by the supporters of his campaign

Even though some of these transactions are not that large, they add up to a huge number after frequent visits to these luxurious locations
