It all started in June of 1984, when the Gremlins made their first appearance on the silver screen. Then a new batch of the troublesome things came out in 1990 with Gremlins 2. It’s now over 25 years later and there is talk of coming out with a Gremlins 3. What started this chatter was the release of the film Jurassic World, and to see how it was such a success decades after the original, producers got the idea with another movie franchise. Original Gremlins star Zach Galligan talks of how the movie will not be a remake of the original, but some characters from the first movie could make an appearance. “This movie is gonna be huge- if it comes out it will bring back a timeless movie to a new generation,” said senior Julia Pliskin. There are no set dates for release or production yet, but talk amongst producers says it may start soon.
