Marching Band Takes Silver

Marching Band Takes Silver

By Alyssa Robbins

It has been a successful season so far from the WHHS Marching Band especially this past Saturday.  The band hosted its annual New Jersey Festival Band Competition.  Eighteen schools including Hills preformed and got rated individually.  Every school performed their best and tried their hardest.

Every band got a score they well deserved and were so proud of themselves. A sophomore pit player, Allie Rasa, says, “I thought overall that it was really good and the other bands that performed were good, too.  In general, I thought our performance was amazing.  To me, the judges were really harsh because they gave us silver, when we should have gotten gold. ”  Out of all the bands that performed, Hills came in third.  It was a successful night for the band, and it puts them in a good place for championships on October 31.  Good luck band and have fun at championships!
