Boys Soccer Stops For Nobody

Varsity Boys Soccer Update

By Eunice G. Park

After the varsity team stumbled into the school year, they got right back up as they recently chalked up a record of 7-2-3 after recent matches against Passaic Valley and Ridgewood, a vast improvement from last month.

The amount of wins has been increasing along with their skill and communication levels.

Amarjot Singh, a Senior player, testified against what he had said last month.

“We definitely focused a lot more on communication this month. With Coach Graham on our backs, we’re really starting to communicate better on the field and it’s looking good,” said Singh.

In light of this great improvement, it also looks like the boys are more pumped than ever for the upcoming county games.

Senior Captain Jack Fieggen commented, “Yes, I’m still very confident in our ability to win counties. We always work hard, and there really isn’t any reason why the team wouldn’t deserve to win.”

Edlir Kaba, one of the other Senior Captains, added, “We are a family that stops for nobody. If you come to one of our games, you’ll see what I mean.”

Along with the Captains’ faith and optimism towards the team’s ability to win counties, JV Coach Dimitoulis spoke fondly of both the JV and Varsity teams.

“When I watch the varsity guys practice all I see is determination and a rare seriousness on their faces. No doubt they’re going to counties and even states. As for the JV team, I’m very proud of them. The winning streak is still standing.”

It is clear that the boys soccer players intend on devoting themselves to accomplishing these goals and making team-bonding memories that will last not only for themselves, but for their school.
