FBLA- Getting Ready for Another Great Year

FBLA- Getting Ready for Another Great Year

By Aseel Dabour, Staff Writer

Every other Wednesday in room 114, about 30 business leaders in the making meet. These aspiring executives are the members of the Future Business Leaders of America club (FBLA). The club is led by Patricia Noll and Lori Jancarelli and is known throughout the school for its popular Krispy Kreme fundraisers.

In addition to selling their signature donuts, FBLA is responsible for the talent show, which will be held in November this year, breaking from the established precedent of having the show in March. Club members will prep the stage and ensure that everything flows smoothly while the students participating in the show perform. Last year the club raised an impressive $1000 from the show. The money was used to help fund the club’s activities and trips.

Once again, FBLA has plans go on their annual trip to Atlantic City in March. This year, however, the club hopes to do so with a fuller bus. Many members are quick to bring up the topic in conversation, and those who have been on the trip never fail to mention how much fun they had on the bus ride, how they met so many new people, and how it’s a memory they will never forget. Recalling breakfasts together early in the morning, testing in the evening, and eating at A.C. Burgers to finish off the night, many expressed that nothing feels better than being on the trip. All this was evidenced by returning FBLA member Danny Boguslavsky, who said the following: “[t]he trip to Atlantic City was amazing; the amount of people we met and all the things we did, it was so much fun.”

Anyone interested in joining FBLA can go to Room 114 after school on Wednesdays and attend a meeting. The club is always ready to welcome new members.
