A New Member to the WHGL Family

Former Wayne Hills guidance counselor Alison Cassera has taken on the role as the new girls lacrosse varsity coach after Marie Tripp stepped down from the position after coaching for over 15 years.

Cassera had gone to West Essex high school, where she graduated with twelve varsity letters and was named an Under-Armor All America athlete. She had graduated from Northwestern University after winning the NCAA tournament championship in 2013.

Some of the team had met with Cassera on September 29th to introduce themselves and vice versa. “I have always considered my past teams as ‘family,’ and I am hoping this team will be no different! I felt extremely welcomed by everyone and I can already tell this season is going to be a fun one!” said coach Cassera.  She had arranged to begin some pre-pre-season programs like the traditional winter league and insisted on the girls to get involved in her own program Lacrosse Fit.
