Coming into the 2015-2016 high school football season, Wayne Hills has gotten off to a hot start. Leading off the year with a 4-2 record, the team continues to excel. The Patriots are a versatile group of young men, who can become very dangerous later down the stretch. Recently, senior captain Vincent

LoVerde was nominated for the best standout performance by NJ High School Sports. This was not by accident, this was earned through hard work and lots of hours spent each day trainingLoVerde, who plays wide receiver, leads the Patriots as one of their veteran captains. So far into the season, LoVerde has seven touchdowns with a total of 376 receiving yards, nearly averaging seventeen receiving yards per reception! The Patriots captain claims the recipe for his success early on resulted from what he did to improve his skills during the off-season. LoVerde said “As a team we would do strength and agility training three times a week.” Following his daily workout routine, LoVerde mentioned he “trains on his own during Sunday mornings at 6 am for a few hours.”

The Patriots “go-to” wide receiver is one hard-nosed athlete. LoVerde, along with a few other senior captains, plan to continue leading their team in the right direction. “We need everybody to stay on task,” said senior captain Tom Skiba. If the Patriots keep their heads above water, they’ll compete in the race to the championship in Metlife Stadium.
