WHHS Student Council Election Winners:

 President: Jordyn Lo Presti

Vice President: Erica Radler

Secretary: Uma Dhekne

Representatives: Nicole Afflitto, Tia Afflitto, Stephanie Casamassina, Dylan Catania, Suha Cho, Holly Clancy, Sabrina Coniglio, Meghan O’Loughlin, Jessica Pellegrino, Connor Tarpey, and Pulast Thaker.

Elections were held Thursday, October 1, 2015 and WHHS’  freshman class of 2019 heard the speeches for the freshmen student council candidates. Candidates for President included Stephanie Casamassina, Dylan Catania, and Lo Presti. For Vice President, the candidates were Suha Cho, Erica Radler, and Matthew Smits. However, Uma Dhekne ran for Secretary unopposed. Freshman Secretary Uma Dhekne commented about her experience so far and her future with the job of Secretary saying, “It’s quite interesting. It seems like it will take a lot of dedication and hard work but the results will pay off. The few meetings that I’ve gone to show that the student council is very spirited and they definitely want to make our school a great place to be.” The future of Wayne Hills is in the council’s hands, so the question is, will the school become a better place or will it come crashing down.
