As November comes to a close, the Leo Club is getting ready for its annual trip to Camp Marcella.

The Leo Club is an organization here at WHHS that revolves around volunteer work and community service. The adviser is English teacher Susan Price.

Jaylin Montalvo, a junior at WHHS and a member of the Leo Club said, “I love seeing the faces of the people we helped. I look forward to it every year!”

Camp Marcella is a camp for teens who are blind, visually impaired, or have special needs. It is located in Rockaway, NJ. It is a non-profit organization which was started in 1947. Camp Marcella is comprised of over 200 acres of woodland and surroundings and a fish laden lake. All of its facilities are aimed to supply the best possible care for the visually impaired.

The Leo Club goes there to clean up leaves and branches, windows, and floors. Students are assigned a bunk and must clean it.
