WHHS hosted a color run recently in Haledon, NJ for the benefit of the Class of 2018.

The event, held on on October 23, 2016,  raised money for the Class of 2018’s Project Graduation. This event was open to the public for everyone with all different types of fitness abilities to enjoy walking, running, and jogging.

The Color Run is an event series and five-kilometer paint race that is owned and operated by The Color Run LLC, a for-profit company. Throughout the course of the color run event, many participants will experience color splash zones where they are doused with a powdered color. The ending celebration of their unique run concludes with a final color toss.

Many students from the Class of 2018 enjoyed this event because not only are they raising money for their graduation, they are having a lifetime experience with their friends and also getting exercise in an exciting way.

Jennifer Cantilli,  junior,  participated in the color run event.

”It was a fun experience to run with my friends and be able to throw color at them,” said Cantilli.  “I would love to participate in the color run again because it raises money for great causes, I’m getting exercise in a fun way, and I really loved throwing colored packets on my friends!”
