ISIS Suicide Bomber At Iraqi Funeral Kills 38 People

There was a suicide bomber attack at an Iraqi funeral in Muqdadiyah last Monday, February 29th, where 38 were killed and dozens of others ended up wounded. The Islamic state takes blame for the attack in lieu to the U.S. led airstrikes against their militants. The Sunday before this attack, ISIS had completed their biggest attack so far this year where there was a double bombing killing over 70 innocent people in a Baghdad market.
The suicide bomber entered the funeral hall with the other mourners wearing a suicide vest which he used to kill the people attending the funeral. Of the 38 people dead include Asaib Ahl al-Haq, a head militia leader, who is in charge of the security in most of the area in Shiite. “Hearing stories like this is awful because it shows that ISIS is not going to stop until they complete their goal and there is seemingly nothing we can do to stop it,” said Wayne Hills junior Marco Caprioni. Although seeing innocent people die is always sad to hear, it could have happened in the U.S. and not Iraq, which would be undoubtedly worse.
