As we are approaching fall, Apple has just recently released the brand new 17th generation iPhone. Almost 2 weeks have passed and nearly over 100 million phones have been produced, according to Wedbush Investor. There have been many predictions made about the phone’s quality, and today we finally have an answer of what our new technology is capable of.
The new iPhone has gained large popularity worldwide for its unique design and enhanced features. Apple has listened to customers’ feedback and has improved battery life and created a new structure that would stand out from other models. In order to keep iPhones up to date in our ever-changing world, Apple has made its phones compatible with artificial intelligence. Apple’s past generations have had several issues with overheating, but with the new cooling system, the iPhone incorporates a vapor-chamber cooling system to regulate temperature.
We wanted to hear the opinions on the new phone from students in Wayne Hills. There are many mixed reactions from our town in general—some see worth in a new phone, while others believe there is use in another piece of technology. Wayne Hills Junior Gabby Perez isn’t too positive about the iPhone 17: “I don’t think it is worth it,” she argues. “The back of the phone looks odd, the phone case doesn’t fit the camera. I didn’t see much of a difference between the last phone.”
Her friend, Veronika Kuzyk, had a somewhat neutral view on the phone; “The camera looks interesting, but I like how fast it functions.”
A freshman had a positive opinion on the phone: “It’s really interesting to see that technology constantly keeps getting smarter and smarter,” Omaya Darwish commented. “I wonder when we’ll run out of ideas.” For the most part, Wayne Hills students are skeptical about the new generation of iPhone, but it still leaves us wondering how quickly technology can advance.
Overall, deciding if you are interested in purchasing the new model is based on a multitude of factors; it’s important to take the price, efficiency, and functionality into mind when planning to decide if you want to purchase the iPhone.
