Many students have thrown out their usual mascara and traded it in for Falscara, a popular brand for fake eyelashes. While normal mascara is often a staple for many people, Falscara has taken the lash game to a whole new level. Falscara is a type of lash cluster set under the Kiss brand name, that acts as a lash extension lasting up to about a week. This is one of the main reasons people love it so much! It’s a huge time saver, especially on those early school mornings.
Yasmin Jabali, a senior at Wayne Hills, loves the convenience of Falscara, “I love them so much I have them on right now. They are so easy and so quick to do,” she said.
Lauryn Freeman is also a big fan of the product. Lauryn said, “Personally I like Falscara because I think that it brings more of a pop to your eyes and looks really good.”
A lot of girls are jumping on this trend. But is it just a trend? Some girls feel a lot differently about Falscara.
Alina Tulino, a senior at Wayne Hills High School said, “I absolutely hate Falscara because it rips your eyelashes out and makes your eyelashes look worse.” It was surprising to hear girls had felt this way, because of how popular they are. But Falscara clearly isn’t for everyone.
Another Wayne Hills Patriot Evelyn Clewley, a junior, agrees with Alina. She said, “I don’t like Falscara because I feel like it looks unnatural and some of the other ones are better.” Even though they gave Falscara a poor review, girls ventured to other fake eyelash brands and found better results.
While some people have very strong opinions on Falscara, others are on the fence about whether they like it or not. Addie Ickowski, a senior who has used Falscara before, said, “I think it is annoying that most of the Falscara packs come with the tool because I have so many of them, but I like the bond and seal.” For many people, fake lashes are only used every so often, just to add a little extra glam to their look on a big day.
Senior, Sophia Gutierrez-Campodonico, still feels this way regardless of how many people are starting to wear them every day. “I like it but I only use it on special events,” she said. The opinions on Falscara vary so much throughout Wayne Hills, that it is hard to tell if this phenomenon is really here to stay.
