Previewing the Most Anticipated Albums of 2023

The Grammys are in the past but, we are looking forward to listening to the next big thing! Here are the most anticipated albums of 2023 according to Pitchfork and students here at Wayne Hills. 

A$AP Rocky has promised a new album, Don’t Be Dumb, release date to be announced. Rocky says to expect production from Metro Boomin. We are excited to listen to his new album and see what is next for A$AP Rocky.

Mac DeMarco plans to release his new album Five Easy Hot Dogs on January 20th. DeMarco shares that he wrote this album on the road, The plan was to start driving north, and not go home to Los Angeles until I was done with a record,” he explained in a press statement.

Many speculate that Beyoncé will be dropping another two albums. Renaissance, her most recent album came with the subtitle ”Act I”, with two more indicated to follow.

Metallica will be releasing 72 Seasons on April 14. The album is named for the seasons of their journey throughout the first 18 years of their lives. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences,” James Hetfield said about the concept

On March 24 Lana Del Rey will release her album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. This will be her first album since 2021. Her new album includes production from ack Antonoff, Drew Erickson, and Zach Dawes, plus guest turns from Jon Batiste, Father John Misty, and more. Senior Lola LaCorte said “Lana is an artist that I’ve always listened to and she has down-to-earth and relatable music one being “Summertime Sadness” I’m excited to see what her latest work will be like.”
