The Wayne Hills Ice Hockey team had high expectations coming into this 2015-2016 season. Scheduled to play some tough rivalries along the way, the Patriots were ready for the challenge! Recently, Wayne Hills started their season just short of their goal with an overall record of 5-4-3. Amongst nine other strong teams in our division, Hills is currently ranked fifth in our conference. The Patriots are now 3-3-3 in the conference and are headed into the right direction.

The Patriots most recent game was against DePaul, which was held on Saturday, January 2nd at the Ice Vault. Wayne Hills ended up sweeping the Spartans by a score of 11-1!  “Coming into the game, we knew what our goal was. It was to never let up and to never underestimate your opponent,” said sophomore Dean Hulbert. Hulbert had scored three times earning him a hat trick on the day. Meanwhile, Senior Phil Pawlak had also scored twice. The Patriots goalie Chris Stammer had five successful saves, helping Hills get on top early. Wayne Hills hopes to keep their momentum and to continue to thrive off their success in their next game against Ramapo on January 8th.
