Wayne Hills Field Hockey Update

By Ethan Yuppa, Staff Writer

The Wayne Hills Field Hockey team is having a rough start to their season so far.  They are currently 1-4, with their most recent win against Old Tappan by a score of 2-1.

Their past losses have been a struggle.  Their last 2 games against Pompton Lakes and Northern Highlands, the Patriots have scored zero goals.

On September 18th at 4 pm, the Patriots will be at home going up against their rivals, Wayne Valley.  This will be a big win for Hills, it will give the team momentum and winning against their rivals is always good for bragging rights.  Wayne Valley is currently 4-2, losing their last game to Ramsey 1-0. This will be a very competitive game, as both teams are looking to improve their record and the last two times these rivals have played head-to-head, Valley won.

This is what Jessica Carleton, on the field hockey team, has to say about the upcoming game and how the Patriots season is going so far, “The season has been good so far.  We practice and run a lot to stay in shape. Our upcoming game against Valley is going to be very competitive as they are our biggest rivals.”

Make sure to come to the game and show up rowdy!
