MLB World Series Predictions

By Jared Cohen and Jason Sanfilippo

The final time that our flawed predictions will have to be dealt with…..here we go!

World Series 2018 Matchup: Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Best of 7):

Hats of to Jason for correctly predicting the Dodgers vs. Brewers series. Let’s see if he can correctly predict the World Series…. First off, the Red Sox will definitely be more rested than the Dodgers, as the Red Sox finished off the defending champion Astros in five games, and it took the Dodgers the full slate of seven games to beat a well-rounded Milwaukee Brewers squad. This will most certainly be a World Series for the books, as the Dodgers are trying to avenge last year’s World Series loss. Similarly, the Red Sox are trying to capture their first World Series since 2013. With the Red Sox’s deep lineup going head to against the depth of the Dodgers pitching, this series will have some low scoring games. Now onto our final predictions for the MLB season….

Jared’s Prediction: Dodgers in six. As a Yankee fan, I cannot justify choosing the Red Sox to win anything. Seriously though, the Dodgers timely hitting will be sure to get to the Red Sox’s shaky bullpen and at time questionable starting pitching (Yes, that is you David Price). I still feel as if the Dodgers are the more complete team, and they will ride Clayton Kershaw and budding ace Walker Buehler to a World Series title.

Jason’s Prediction: It is hard for me to believe that the Red Sox can keep up their amazing play for another series. Dodgers in seven. The Dodgers have been knocking on the door for a couple years now, and I believe that this is the year they break the door down. The series will be a slugfest but ultimately the Dodgers will come out victorious.
