Waves of grief and shock sent through Canada after 16 people were announced dead and 14 others injured after a bus carrying a junior hockey team collided with a tractor-trailer last Friday.

The bus was carrying a junior hockey team, The Humbolt Broncos when it crashed.

The crash took place in an area north of Tisdale in rural Saskatchewan but the reason of the crash still remains unknown.  The bus driver claimed that the sun was in his eyes while other people have claimed that the driver missed a stop sign and other sources claim that this is an unsafe intersection.

The 10 players that died ages range from 16-21 and other fatalities include the athletic therapist, their coaches, the driver and a stats person.

By Monday night, a Go Fund Me page started for the players and their families raised 6.2 Million dollars.

“It really shows how the sports communities are all family,” said freshman Mikey Goldman who plays on Wayne Knights.

The sports world is really praying for each and everyone one of those mourning players families. It was a tragic accident that no one would wish on their worst enemy.
