Senior Joseph Belli officially committed to Saint Anselm to play Division II basketball.

Belli was joined by his parents, Wayne Today, Athletic Director Richard Porfido, Principal Michael Rewick, varsity basketball coach Kevin Grimes, as well as his closest friends on the team on November 15th.

“Saint Anselm was my only DII offer, and the school seemed like a good fit and it being a basketball school and coaches were honest” said Belli.

Belli’s teammate Jason Sanfilippo said, “I think Saint Anselm is a good fit for Belli because he has a good opportunity to play.”

With the  701 total points in his high school career at the moment, Belli hopes to reach 1000 total points before he graduates and starts over at Saint Anselm. Joey getting accepted into Saint Anselm is a new chapter in his life and can lead to many more opportunities in the future.

Belli is among many students that have committed to play sports in college here at Hills.
