50th Anniversary Logo is Introduced to WHHS

By Brittany Krugel

A few graphic arts students are keeping winning designs all in the family here at Hills with the design of the 50th Anniversary logo for a year of celebration.

Graphic Design Teacher Patricia Noll is incredibly proud of her third and fourth level graphic design students, who participated in the creation of the new logo. “My third and fourth level graphic design classes were in charge of designing the logo. The two students who were responsible for creating the final product were junior, Hunter Goldberg and senior, Andrew Lojik Harvey,” said Noll.

“Hunter and I came up with the design trying to imitate the style of modern anniversary logos while adding a Wayne Hills flair to it. We also tried to make it appealing to people from 1966 by adding Patriot Pete, the previous Wayne Hills logo,” said Lojik-Harvey.

The logo design will be used on t-shirts and other items designated as part of this celebration, which officially kicks off on October 1, 2016

Noll says that this is a special moment for Lojik-Harvey considering that his older brothers, also graduates of WHHS, were responsible for designing the slips that are placed within the diploma holder. In some way Lojik-Harvey, is living up to a legacy.

Not only does the logo feature a picture of Patriot Pete, but it also has an important slogan according to Noll, “The slogan is Past. Present. Future,” a powerful slogan with an aesthetically pleasing picture to add to it!
