As the NFL regular season approaches, some of the most exciting weeks are ahead: the NFL playoffs.
The conclusion of the Wild Card round saw the exit of the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Minnesota Vikings.
The upcoming games in the Divisional Round start on Saturday, January 18th, and they include Texans vs. Chiefs, Rams vs. Eagles, Commanders vs. Lions, and Ravens vs. Bills. This weekend will display the first playoff appearances this season for the Chiefs and Bills, as the teams earned a bye week by achieving the #1 seed in their respective conferences.
When asked who he thought would win the Super Bowl, senior Aws Washah said, “Either the Lions or the Eagles. They have everything it takes to win. You could call the Chiefs could be a contender, but they have nowhere near as many weapons.”
Another senior, Nick Wagner, said that the “Texans will upset the Chiefs, and the Rams will upset the Eagles.”
Tanner Gaccione, a big fan of the recently eliminated Green Bay Packers, had quite the bold playoff prediction. He said, “The Super Bowl will be Lions vs. Chiefs. In the 2nd or 3rd quarter [Jahymir] Gibbs exits with a scary injury. Hes out for the game and the Super Bowl is a very close game, but I don’t know who wins.” At the moment, Gibbs is one of the top running backs in the league, where he is 5th place in rushing yards and tied 1st for touchdowns.
This year’s playoffs are jam-packed with underdog teams and super teams. So, no matter what, fans will be in for a great post-season.
