Avengers: Endgame Trailer Review

By Isaiah Ahumada, Staff Writer

The Avengers 4 trailer surfaced to the public last Friday, December 7th, and much is in store for the upcoming film.

The trailer was rumored to be shown December 5th on “Good Morning America”, but Marvel broke fans’ hearts when it was delayed to December 7th. Since its debut, the trailer received 72 million views on Marvel Entertainment’s Youtube channel. So what was shown?

Avengers are dealing with the events that occurred in Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer begins with Tony Stark caressing his famous Iron Man helmet. He delivers a message to his wife through the helmet, saying that he is stuck in space with a dwindling supply of food, water, and oxygen. Marvel takes a jab at the fans when the trailer cuts to the Marvel logo, where it turns to dust just like the characters who died.

Thanos is alive and well, as he enjoys his peace after wiping out fifty percent of all living creatures. The Avengers, on the other hand, are devastated, and Steve Rogers is shown tearing up after the loss. He voices over the next couple of scenes and describes the loss of family, friends, and parts of themselves.

The trailer then cuts to Hawkeye cleaning his blade after just killing a bunch of people. The Avenger logo reforms, followed by a scene with Ant-Man outside of the headquarters asking to open the door.

What can viewers take away from this trailer? First, we know that Tony Stark is stuck in space. Who will rescue him? Will it be his wife or another character that hasn’t had their movie yet, like a Captain Marvel?

Additionally, Hawkeye is active again, even though he had not joined the Avengers because he was protecting his family. Perhaps his family was vaporized when Thanos did his infamous snap.

Matthew Mangibin said, “The hype is real. Infinity War left me with a cliffhanger, it’s about time to see the Endgame.”

Avery Torres stated, “This has me very excited. I can’t wait to see the movie. The trailer has definitely made me interested.”

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to premiere on April 26, 2019. Though it may seem far away, fans still await another trailer on its way.
