What’s in store for the Senior class?

By Allie Allen

Senior year is full of exciting new things. The class of 2017’s senior activities start on Wednesday, November 23, with the annual senior breakfast. The seniors get to come together as a class and enjoy food and drinks  while surrounded music from a DJ. It’s a great time for everyone to get together and have fun with their friends, all while in school to remember their senior year. It seems like these past three years have flown by for the seniors. “I can’t believe this is going to be our senior breakfast,” said senior class president Katie Casamassina, “It feels like we were all just freshman, I’m so excited.”

The seniors have a lot more to look forward to after the Holidays. The SDA senior dance, senior fashion show, senior trip, prom and project graduation are all events students constantly have on their mind. Seniors show their excitement for these special activities by already looking for and choosing partners for the senior dance and fashion show, as well as constantly talking about prom.

The senior dance will be during the SDA shows which are on February 23rd, 24th and 25th.The senior fashion show, which will be held at The Grove, will be held in March. The senior trip is planned for June at Dorney Park in Pennsylvania, which is during the same week as prom. And prom, planned on June 15th, will also take place at the Grove.  “Some students are worried about the fashion show and prom being at the same venue, but they’re going to have two completely different vibes and we’re making sure that the fashion show and prom are completely different,” Casamassina assured.

As exciting as these events seem, seniors are sure to not get a bad case of senioritis. Many seniors are still in the process of applying to college and are making the best of their last year but cannot wait until the the application process is over. They are especially looking forward to the fun and excitement senior year has to bring!
