Storied Wayne Hills Football Program Goes Live

The WHHS Patriots football players suit up under the bright Friday Night Lights, but now, you don’t have to be at Patriot Stadium to catch them play. Starting this year, the school’s varsity football games can be live-streamed online via the team’s website. James Hoogstrate’s TV Club does the entire process of filming and broadcasting the game every Friday.

“We’re going from our computer in the unit under the bleachers directly to the Wayne Hills football website, where they are charging $8.99 for one game and $14.99 for a season long subscription.” said Hoogstrate. With three cameras catching all of the action on the field with Three commentators giving the audience insight on the game, the entire experience is as if one is watching an NFL game on a Sunday afternoon.

“The alumni are still interested in watching the games,”said Josh Kashmann, a junior at WHHS, who serves as the director under Mr. Hoogstrate during the games. “Since a lot of the former players and students don’t live locally, but still want to follow the team, many of them may find the all new live-streaming of the game a great addition. This goes back to the players and students who were following the team during the Olsen days, and even before who would enjoy watching the team play.” All of the profits made from the live-stream will support the football team, the TV club, and other WHHS organizations.
