Meet Jake Reiss! Jake is a freshman at Wayne Hills High School who plays basketball. This underclassman is a guard for the freshman team this year who has high potential. We got a chance to talk to Jake about basketball, and here is what he had to say.
How long have you been playing, and what got you started?
“I have been playing since I was in elementary school, and I got started because my older brother always played.”
What is your biggest takeaway from high school basketball?
“The maturity level from the seniors to the freshmen is something I noticed from the start.”
What are you most excited about this season?
“I’m most excited about going up against Wayne Valley.”
Who is your biggest supporter?
“My dad is definitely my biggest supporter.”
What is your favorite part of basketball?
“My favorite part about basketball is dominating a game.”
How do you stay in a good mindset after a rough game?
“After a bad game, I normally just get my mind off of basketball, and I don’t stress over it.”
