Singer Lady Gaga has organized an all-star event to support the fight against the COVID pandemic called “One World: Together at Home” that will be live-streamed on many platforms on Saturday, April 18 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Global Citizen and the World Health Organization created the idea for the event, which will stream social media including YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter and broadcast on networks such as ABC and NBC.

“Not just in New York but around the world we are all witnessing an absolute triumph of bravery and courage that is unprecedented during the global pandemic that the medical community should be celebrated,” Lady Gaga said to MSNBC in a Morning Joe interview.

The event will also celebrate healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly on the front lines during this pandemic. One World: Together at Home will also benefit local and regional charities that provide food, shelter, and healthcare to those that need help most.

“We may have to be apart physically for a while, but we can still come together virtually to enjoy great music,” said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization. The One World: Together at Home concert represents a powerful show of solidarity against a common threat.

Not only will the show be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert, but there will be many A-list performances.
