Winter is not a loved season. This is known by many and when the Groundhog predicted a longer winter, people were less than pleased. With the warmer weather approaching many are happy and enjoying the sun without a freezing breeze hitting at any moment.

Sun and UV bring happiness to most, especially high school students who love to enjoy days in the sun. As the weather turns many get excited for winters end and summers begin. Many benefits come with the sun such as happier kids, more time outside, hours for tanning, and ending of seasonal depression in the winter, which many high school students are affected by. Many associate summer and warmth with happiness and life without freezing temperatures and a chance of snow.

When Wayne Hills student Mia Spano was asked how she feels about the warm weather coming in the next few months she was more than happy to share her excitement for winter’s end. Mia states ” Spring coming so soon is such a relief! Every year it feels like March is another month of winter. The weather being warmer and the sun setting later makes summer feel like it is just around the corner. Mia honestly believes that summer makes life feel so much better.¨

Many readers out there could not agree with Mia more, the love for summer and everything it gives runs deep. Especially with kids in school waiting for the perfect UV and the enjoyable time out of school. The memories summer brings down the shore, tanning, pool or beach days, and so much more are unforgettable. Life would not be worth it without summer, and the warm weather getting closer and closer is a wake-up call for happiness!
