In 2024’s Wayne Board of Education election, returning, Ryan Paul is ready to take office.
Ryan Paul, now a part of the Wayne Board of Education, has won one of the three spots against Ahab Hussein, Harry Prassakos, and Wilson Alequin. It was a tough race, and all of the votes helped determine the three winners. Having served on the board previously, Paul believes that the knowledge and experience he retained as a board of education trustee will help create a seamless transition into this next year. Not only that but he knows how to be skillfully involved in planning and decision-making which will also allow for a flawless transition into 2025.
After receiving the election results, Paul won by far, receiving 12,733 votes against his other opponents. Following these results, people hoped he would make important changes to make Wayne’s education more successful than it already is. Some current issues that Ryan Paul has noticed are the decisions on the curriculum and how they, unfortunately, did not meet the values that the citizens of Wayne believe in. He also thinks it is important to have board members willing to fight to protect the education of the children of Wayne.
Ryan has lived in Wayne for practically all his life, as Wayne is his hometown. He was a former student of Wayne Public Schools and is now a father of five children who will eventually attend schools in the Wayne district. He wants to preserve the Wayne district legacy, which he is proud to be a product of. Ryan Paul planned to run again because he felt as though there were unsolved issues that needed fixing.
Paul stated, “So, starting next year, I’ll have a child in every level of the school system. I believe this will give me a broader perspective to see what’s going on at each of the different levels of our schools.” This is exceedingly beneficial because it gives Paul a perspective into the wants and needs of parents. He wants to be able to accomplish all he can to keep Wayne’s high standards up.
Gianna Parmenter, a Junior at Wayne Hills Highschool says, “Education is so important. To maintain how great our education is, we need good candidates who will be only helpful to the students and schools of Wayne, New Jersey.”
Ryan Paul will soon be sworn in and will take office.
