Over the past summer, a new Crumbl arrived in Wayne, New Jersey on the corner of Alps Road and Hamburg Turnpike. So far, the lines have been out of the door and onto the street. Citizens of  Wayne and surrounding areas are willing to wait up to two hours just to get these desserts! After only one week of being open, people have been crazy about these cookies. The craze is real! Since then, Crumbl Cookie has been the hot topic that everyone, in and out of Wayne, have been talking about.  

A senior at Wayne Hills High School Sophia Gutierrez-Campodonico said, “I am so happy, I love it. I go all the time literally every week, it’s a problem.” When asked her favorite flavor she exclaimed, “My favorite flavor is oreo!” Another senior Alina Tulino agrees with her friend, “Mine is definitely oreo too. Every time they bring it back I love it.” Their shared love for new Crumbl Cookie is a common opinion amongst many in Wayne, as it became popular over the summer.

A junior at Wayne Hills High school, Sophia Salaska commented, “I think Crumbl Cookie is very good. I like that there’s all new flavors of the week like the new oreo one that came out like 2 weeks ago.” When asked her favorite she said, “If I had to pick, I like the Berries and Cream.” When asked how long she’s waited for Crumbl Cookie she says, “Oh I dont wait, I usually don’t go that much. I’ve been about 10 times in my life.”

Another Junior at Wayne Hills, Michael Mariani said, “I probably go every two weeks to Crumbl.” He then stated that his favorite cookie flavor was the lemon cookie. Our reporters then asked him what he liked and disliked about Crumbl and he then stated, “I like that they have good cookies, I just don’t like the lines. They are too long.” Another reporter then asked “How long have you had to wait in line before? Michael then stated, “Probably around an hour. It’s crazy.” 

Interestingly, not everyone shares the same opinion about Crumbl Cookie. A Junior at Wayne Hills, Nick Euri had this to say about it, “I think Crumbl Cookie kind of sucks. It’s the same thing as every other cookie place, and their cookies aren’t fully cooked.” Despite his strong opinions about Crumbl, when asked his favorite he said, “Probably the chocolate chip cookie.” While his feeling towards Crumbl Cookie isn’t as common, it’s interesting to see that not everyone in Wayne has felt the same way about the cookies.

Every new week, people are eager to find what the next flavors will be. As the fall approaches, new flavors will be coming out that match Autumn. These such flavors could be fluffy pumpkin cookies and delicious cinnamon cookies that both have amazing and tasty toppings.
