Marketing II Visits MetLife Stadium

MetLife has a whopping 82,500 person capacity. However, when the Marketing II students visited, it was decidedly less crowded.

Students in the Marketing II classes, accompanied by teachers Jennifer Piro and Michael Peischl, recently visited Metlife Stadium on November 3.

The students were given a tour of the stadium that focused on marketing. Marketing professionals taught them the ins and outs of the industry; specifically, they were shown how Metlife markets their football teams and the stadium itself.

The tour began in the Giants Hall of Fame and proceeded to the press box. From the box, students had a birds-eye view of the numerous advertisements scattered throughout the stadium.

This part of the tour proved educational for Senior and Marketing II student Janna Luchinsky, who admitted, “I never knew how much a brand could be marketed in a place like Metlife.”

The marketing students were then shown the various luxury boxes Metlife offers.

Senior Hunter Bedes said of touring these luxury boxes, “That was my favorite part of the tour. It was so cool to see the different boxes and how they are advertised.”

The Marketing II classes ended their tour on Metlife’s famed field, where countless football legends have played. Looking up at the stands, they could picture the spectacle of thousands of cheering fans looking back down at them.
