FBLA Sponsors Talent Show
October 10, 2017
This year’s talent show, dubbed the “Rocktoberfest,” is being hosted by the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) club and will be held on October 20th at 7 pm in the Wayne Hills auditorium.
“We will have singers, guitar players, magicians, along with some dancers, participating in this year’s show,” said FBLA adviser Patricia Noll.
“Usually it takes place in April; now it is in October because there are so many things going on later throughout the year, so this gives our students a greater opportunity to be in it,” says Lori Gencarelli, an additional advisor to the student club. “Although in May we will be trying something new this year called ‘Battle of the Bands’.”
There are currently 75 members of FBLA which makes the show “student ran” including the lighting and the tickets. “All of the money we raise during the show helps us when we compete in the state competition in Atlantic City,” said Noll. FBLA is raising money for the March of Dimes this year as well.
Jared Shiffman, a student competing in this year’s talent show says he is “looking forward to entertaining Hills” with his magic.
“I’m looking forward to a great night of our talented students at Wayne Hills high school,” adds Gencarelli.
Tickets will be $5 in advance and $7 at the door!
