In the spirit of the holiday season, the student council has been giving back to the community. The student-body elected representatives teamed together and took a trip to Eva’s Kitchen in Paterson on November 29, 2016  and helped to distribute the abundance of Spirit Week donations. Eva’s Kitchen is a non-profit organization that aids people in their time of need by supplying them with various items such as toiletries and food. As a school we were able to donate 13,435 individual food items to Eva’s Kitchen and 21 Wayne Families solely from our participation in Spirit Week! Riya Patel said of the experience, “it was enriching and humbling. It really brings you back down to earth.”  As he holidays draw nearer, it is important to emulate the true spirit of the celebratory season,  as our student council representatives have exhibited.
