    The Patriots had a nearly perfect season, crushed their crosstown rivals, traveled to MetLife for the second year in a row, and ended the season with a State Title. The Patriots sealed the deal on December 5th, capturing their 9th State Title. A dream came true, but that does not end all the excitement for some of the Wayne Hills football players. Five Patriots so far, Brendan DeVera, Tyler Hayek, Hunter Hayek, and Evidence Njoku, have received offers by some big time football schools.

Evidence Njoku, wide receiver has received offers from University of Nebraska, University of Miami, University of Arizona, Boston College, UConn, University of Georgia, University of Illinois, Indiana University, Iowa State, University of Louisville, University of Maryland, University of Missouri, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Penn State, University of Pittsburgh, Purdue University, Rutgers University, Syracuse, Temple University, University of Tennessee, Virginia Tech, University of Rhode Island, and Coastal Carolina. Njoku is committed to play at the University of Miami in the fall, alongside his brother David, who is one of the best Tight Ends in the country.

    Tyler Hayek has offers from West Point, Stony Brook, Robert Morris, Fordham University and Rutgers University. Tyler is committed to play at Rutgers University in the fall.

    His twin brother, Hunter has offers from Rhode Island University, Rutgers University, Bentley, West Point, and Stony Brook. Hunter has not yet decided on where he will continue his football career. He expressed why he is looking forward to playing college football, saying, “Just to see how different the speed and intensity from high school to college is and to see if I can achieve the same goals I did in high school.”

   Devera has received offers from Robert Morris, Stony Brook, St. Francis, University of Rhode Island, Monmouth University, University of Maine, Fordham University, Central Connecticut State, University of Albany, University of Delaware, UConn, and University of New Hampshire. Brendan has verbally committed to play football at the University of Delaware next fall.
