To kickoff the SDA season, SDA previews will be held in the Auditorium  on November 23rd, 24th and 25th. The Maroon and White team’s captains of tap, aerobics, pom and jazz will be be performing a brief part of their dance in order to show students what will be in store for the upcoming SDA season, in which the theme this year is The News. The themes of each dance however, will be revealed during the previews.

Both teams have been working extremely hard to make this the best year as it can be.

“I’m excited for the season because I cannot wait to create an amazing show with my captains and team as well as the white team,” said Alexis Divirgilio, Maroon Overall.  “The show gets better every year and I can not wait to contribute to the success of SDA! Being Maroon Overall is such a huge honor, and being able to call Maroon my family means more than the world to me. Also, I want to accomplish making every dance exceptional as well as collaborate with the White team to create an amazing show as a whole.”

 Although both teams are competing against each other, there seems to be no true rivalry between the two, and the main goal is to just have  a great show.

“I’m very excited to put on an amazing show along with Maroon and show the school the best of our abilities combined together from each side of the teams,” said White Tap captain, Arden Sokoli, “my co-captain and I have been working on this year’s plans since mid summer and we both can not wait for everything to all come together through the talent of the girls on our team.”

The SDA captains and overalls show true spirit and determination in the goals the set for this year’s show.
